Step 1 - Meet and Greet

We generally like to start with a meeting or phone call to get to know each other. Our agents will walk you through your mineral portfolio and explain what kind of valuation you can expect. We are here to serve as a resource and answer any questions you may have about your mineral portfolio.

Step 2 - Analyst Evaluation

Based on our initial conversation and if you decide you’d like to move forward in the selling process, we will evaluate your minerals based on the information we collected during our initial phone conversation. We may request additional documentation, such as past oil and gas leases or check stubs that will assist us in our evaluation. Once our team has completed our in depth analysis we will get back to you with our best offer price. At this time we send you the proper documentation for you to review with your family, advisors, or attorney.

Step 3 - Title Confirmation

Once you commit to sell your interest, we will conduct a full title examination of your mineral interest. This process normally takes under a week, but can take longer due to complex ownership history or to cure any title defects. Our team covers the cost of the title research, drafting of any curative instruments, and any filing fees for recording documents.

Step 4 - We send your payment

The final step consists of a mineral deed from you to Texas Southern that is notarized and filed with the county clerk’s office in the county your mineral interest is located. The entire process can vary from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the title issues that may arise.
